Metal Gear Solid - Anime

I am a huge fan of the MGS playstation games, and would love to see this take shape as an anime movie or series.

How bout you lot, would you be down with sitting back and watching snake shake things up.

The thing is that the vast majority of console games to anime conversions have resulted in mediocre anime series... It would take award winning writing talent to turn a series like "etal Gear Solid' into a popular successful anime series...

actually, hideo kojima has already triedto get people to make a live action movie, and an anime wouldnt be out of the question. but i just hope that they would only use the original MGS, as the whole patriots thing is stupid, i think.

but you never know- it actually may turn out to happen. they have already confirmed the shooting of the DBZ movie.

Well if they really go ahead and do this, they should definitely use the same voice actors. Snake isn't Snake unless it sounds like him.

So far from what I know the closest that they have gotten to this are the MGS Digital Novels which are amazing. They are like watching a manga even though the artwork isn't manga style at all. I hope they do this one right.

Wooo, I really don't know if making a MGS anime would be a good idea. I think a movie would be nicer. When you see the characters already in the game and then you turn it into a Anime...I think it would be too much of a change and I don't think I would be prepared for that. Now if they did something like AppleSeed and FFAC...all CG then I think I would watch that.

Well I personaly think that a Metal gear anime would be a good way for new comers to get to know snake.
If they could create it and release it before the new game that is.
as for the movie I am quite fired up to go and watch it when it gets released.
and the dbz movie, when will that come out?

im not so shure. i liked appleseed and FFVIIAC, but snake.....i donno.

not shure when it comes out, but a MGS anime would get more players. but remember; this is only a hypothetical series, there isnt really one comming out that we know of.

I really don't think that MGS wouldn't make a good series but I'm sure it would make a great anime movie.

Well it depends on where they start it from. It they are making a brand new side story that has nothing to do with the storyline of the game then it would probably better as a movie. But if they start from the beginning and open with the story of Metal Gear from NES then it should be a series.

the metal gear solid the anime was okay but it like the game bette rthen the anime tho its odd i dont know why i just do and its most likely got something to do with the anime not being close to the games story line and how things work

I love Hideo Kojima's games. The Metal Gear and Zone of the Enders games are awesome! Top notch! But I agree with LenMiyata; it takes a extraordinarily talented group of writers to make MGS into an anime that would turn out good ratings.

Look at what happened to Zone of the Enders. The anime was okay. But the game's story was much, much better. I mean it was okay because it was a spin-off of sorts. It wasn't a prequel/sequel to Z.O.E or a continuation of the original plot, but it wasn't really what I expected. And Metal Gear would face the same fate if it didn't have extremely good writers.
