I watched a clip of the English version and Lelouch sounds soft. I mean he doesn't sound intimidating like in the Japanese version. Although, the other voices are ok nonetheless.

D: I knoooow. It bugs me so much. I mean, Bosch[Lulu's voice actor] has the lines emphasized correctly, but it's just his voice that doesn't suit Lelouch's character in my opinion. Y'know what I mean? P: I try to make sense, really I do. lol

But yes, I agree that the Japanese voices > the English dubbs.

Hmmm, I thought that the English cast of "Code Geass" wasnt half bad...until I watched the original JP version. Yes, Lelouch sounds evil and it becomes a part of his character, I'm afraid that the English VA will have a hard time pushing his character's personality to the level it gets to later on in the series.

The series gets more darker, depressing, and more violent further down the road, ofcourse there are episodes that try and keep a light cheerful mood but overall it heads the other way. Its definitely not over the edge type of violence like some other anime but it is certainly enough to give you a reaction.

Really? I find that Lelouch's voice really suit that character. He is supposed ta b an aristocrat and devious. His voice sounds like some1 u could trust, jus' 'fore they knife u in the back wit an evil grin.

Sanity doesn't exist, it's just an excuse cooked up by crazy people to justify their actions. My myspace page: www.myspace.com/joemage

I thought at some points Lelouch's voice actor did suit him but at other times I
was thinking they couldn't have gotten some one else to play his role. But at the
points when he'd turn from good peraonality to bad I thought okaythat was
    pretty good.

Re: New Adult Swim Anime (Code Geass)

Well Stage 3 has just aired last night and again it pwned all. I did rather like Kallen's VA as she did a fairly nice job of doing the two sides of Kallen, it is almost as if she is voicing two different characters but she keeps it close enough that you still know you're listening to "Kallen". As for Nunally's VA...well, I was rather dissapointed. It may just because I've watched it in the original Japanese cast but I found the VA for Nunally to be somewhat..."fake" or "forced".(?) Her voice is fairly obvious that they're forcing a cute, frail voice. The Japanese VA on the other hand gives Nunally the "genuine" cute, frail voice that portrays Nunally's character oh so well as if she was a real person, than that 'd be her voice.

This stage also gave a small look into Lelouch's past and why he wants "revenge" on the Britannian Empire and why he adores his little sister so much...its so touching that it makes you wanna cry when you see the two of them together. (T^T)
