I actually like some of the new animes like Dragon Crisis, Freezing and IS: Infinite Stratos. But you're right, they do have too much ecchi stuff.

Listing my current favourites from the new one..

- Bakemonogatari - anime with great epic plotting and style..
- Kimi Ni todoke Season 2... (ongoing)
- Shiki ... boring but epic!
- Kami nomi no shiru sekai (the world god only knows) EPIC!
- Panty and Stockings with ganterbelt.. enjoyed it fully~ can't wait for second season...
- Fairy Tail (ongoing) i love it.. despite the similarity with one piece in animation style and concept of story style
- Gosick.. i love the animation style and the story is quite interesting as well... ^^ relives the victorian era graphic style.. *nods*
- Korewa Zombie Desuka? is a very funny anime for me.. Lots of ecchi.. but i ignore those parts and concentrate on the comedy and the story concept :3
- High School of the Dead... too much ecchi on this one.. but its with a good storyline :3
- K-ON a very good shoujo anime... :3 love the story line, concept and animation style
- Ore no Imouto wa Konna ni kawaii ga nai - Just out with ova recently, a very interesting story for an otaku... since it revolves about a girl who loves... eroges..


I could go one about each and each of these but yah.. there are more.. but these are kinda my favourite for the fall and winter release from last and this year's

I guess you haven't seen the thread started by atomik on Kimi Ni todoke Season 2 or the one started by runt32a on Gosick..? Well anyways I do agree with you though there are some good new anime out there, some that even surprised me. Like Kimi Ni todoke Series in general.lol I had to start from the begininng of course. Umm I saw pretty much all of the anime you mentioned except K-On, Ore no Imouto wa Konna ni kawaii, Shiki, and Fairytail... I really liked an anime called Basquash and Bakemonogatari was an epic animation style, color scheme, and plot... Well I hope this continues with interesting animes and me being surprised...

Atomic Sprout? He's my old bud I still have more.. but man... kinda busy with my assignments.. *nods* this place seriously need more posters... =.=

Oh.. forgot to mention now I am eagerly waiting for this anime's ongoing continueation next week...

Baka to test to shoukanjoo... ( Idiots and tests and summoned beings) funny as hell despite the idiotic name.. *rofl* I finished the first season laughing with my pals at home and now second season just started.. the OVA.. i wonder how many episodes will it have..

Another that I forgot to mention that I am still waiting for continuation for is the season 2 of Sora no Otoshimono... friggin funny anime yes... mind the absurd ecchiness in this particular anime... but it's epic in terms of graphic quality.. story concept and the comedy is just... XD we laughed till we almost tossed ourselves out of the 8th floor's balcony (me and my house mates)

If i have to say something about Bakemonogatari.. it is so good.. I am re watching again! for the 3rd time so far... and do I have the high quality downloaded version :3 WOOT!

Yea' Sora no Otoshimono is a hilarious anime... I also am waiting for the contiuation of the second season of Sora no Otoshimono Forte', they stopped when it was getting to the good, interesting part. That Sugita is a high class perv, but that is what makes him so darn funny... I am currently watching Umineko no Naru Koro ni a mystery type anime dealing with witches... So far I am on episode 6. It is intriguing, so far...

Yea' Bakemonogatari was recommended to me by a co-worker, just like most of the animes I watch are recommended to me...lol Some I just happen to stumble across like Sora no Otishomono ^_^... I am the type of person that doesn't mind the ecchiness, if it is a good quality and nice storyline to it... I can overlook it, shoot some anime wouldn't be the way they are if it didn't have the ecchi in it, others could do with out... I just don't like it when they have the 9, 10 year old girls flashing panty shots...lol It kinda makes me feel like a perv'...lol

Well atomik is a good person and also would like to say a friend. I know what you mean about the site needing more posters and there is nothing wrong with your priorities as far as I can see...lol Get those assignments finished...^_^ Shoot I have just recently started back here on AO' hoping that it can get back to the old days... I remember you quite well from your postings and your writing in the poetry section, an true veteran of the AO' community... Hope to see you more around cause AO' needs a revival of its quality...

i gotta agree that most anime nowadays are ecchi and it prevents me from watching them.
but i like "ore no imouto" funny and cute, as well as "arakawa under the bridge"
i like watching animes with comedy!!
