Well people demand for the ecchiness more this days... *shrugs* nothing we could do, but some of those have good stories.. better watch when you can one day :3 well then if you like comedy...
I suggest you watch Kimi Ni todoke - not sure if you like something shoujo ish.. but its very nice for me... hard to guess what happens next..
I would also suggest you Kami nomi no shiru sekai (The world god only knows) - can't wait for season two! Read the manga first though, lots of parts in it were not in the anime :3
Indeed.. I mean... look at the quality for god's sake.. totally different level here. Graphic has taken a new form and style, and each anime comes with their own style and uniqueness... each new anime now is entirely individual and different from the rest... usually its the story concept that makes an anime different, now its combined with graphic style...
I love clamp for example, they had their own style in creating characters, you can differentiate how different they are with others and they have similarity in every anime.. now, ever anime strives to be different. Eden of the east was among the ones that caught my attention... I love the opening song's graphics... taken the current modern graphic style and relived the simple 2D design back and used a lot of symbolism in it..
Another anime that really... took my attention was Bakemonogatari, that sometimes used blank coloured screen with some fonts to express the feeling within the anime at the moment. May occur to be annoying to some.. but man, i take it as something unique
Put the ecchiness aside on Sora no otoshimono and notice the detail in their designs and the high quality graphics they were marvelous...

Yeah. Anime has taken great strides over the last few years. It's not all about Naruto and Bleach, y'know. ^_^
Kimi ni Todoke, for example. (Yeah, I know it's pretty shoujo but hear me out)
The animation is great, every episode leaves you wanting more and we all know that drama is something to love... as long as you're not the one involved in it. LOL.
Oreimo (Short for: Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai) is pretty funny. Kind of weird but pretty okay none the less. I mainly like it because of the dynamic between the two main characters and how their relationship changes when Kyosuke finds out Kirino is secretly an otaku.
There's tons of other anime series out there that I keep stumbling across and I always think to myself, "What rock have I been living under?" I suppose that makes life as an otaku pretty interesting though.

Yep.. why be stuck under a rock anyways? Heck.. I am listening to Kimi ni Todoke's opening song and singing along when I am writing this post xD not a coincidence! No.. I did'nt play it out of my song list... its automatic and random in my WMplayer :3
I love Kimi ni todoke... its hard finding such innocent animes *nods* makes me feel like wanting to be in love again.. *sigh* *singing along*
Oreimo for me... is a glimpse of a girl's life as an otaku trying to hide it so she could fit in the society. She has love for both world and treasure them dearly, friends and her love for her "fetish". The brother's character is a little bit too impossible but don't we all want to be a chivalrous guy like him? :3
Indeed... well said soldier! :3

idk alot of the new anime just really dont appeal to me the older ones were just way better in terms of story and plot i havnt really watched new anime for the past 2 or 3 years buuuuuut i have been watching alot of kamen rider mmmmmmm den-o if you dont know what it is look it up you will be hooked o,o
The closer you get the light the greater your darkness becomes...
Then you have been watching the wrong animes for the new ones of course, The old ones in term of storyline is good.. but for me the new animes with great concept would be interesting to watch :3
If you'd need recommendation then ask meh well do give specification to help me understand your preference... :3
