original or pirated?

I do prefer to buy the DVD factory press... Simply because, as many have stated, it's respectful to those who worked hard to produce it for the public~

To be honest, I have downloaded stuff that's not released in the states yet... Then once it gets here, I go out and buy it. ((I did that with Ergo Proxy)) It's expensive, yes, but indeed more reliable... And it's nice to give back to the artists. ^_^

That has happened to me before... I had been downloading some anime, and it was in Japanese with subtitles... I felt like something was wrong with the subtitles... They seemed to be a bit silly, as though the translators were just messing around. After it came to the states, I started buying the DVDs... YEAH... Sure enough, the subtitles on the ones I downloaded were way off... >.<; I felt pretty dumb for that one, to be honest!!

What I do is when I here of an anime I will watch in on Veoh then if I like it alot I will go out and buy it. (that is what I did with angelic layer) I say a preview of it, went to Veoh, liked it, when I went to FYE, I bought it. sure it was $50 for a 5 piece box set but in my mind it was worth the effort. I say if you like the anime so much, you should buy it. that would support the producers who make it right? then they can come out with more awsome anime!

I have the original escaflowne and rurouni kneshin collections.... ive been planin on buyin the trinity blood, basilisk and samurai deeper kyo collections too... lotsa money..
I mean if its something I rly like, like one of those Ill buy it for sure, but if its an anime im just gonna check out im gonna be all AAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG *pirate* :p
