Potemayo ran in "Moeyon", a magazine for adult men.

It is, however, from the same camp of "children's-show" style series as Digi Charat, Moetan, Nanatsu Iro Drops, Binchoutan, Nurse Witch Majikarte and the Pop Art series of "children's" books. Though they air in very late timeslots and are marketted mainly to adult men, the storylines themselves are simplistic and incredibly childish. This is probably the reason for the confusion.

"moe" can be listed as a sub-genre of seinen by virtue of it's target audience alone... it has virtually nothing in common with anything else targetted at adult men.

ah. ty. what about "the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya" and "lucky star"? i heard those were also seinen. except haruhi suzmiya doesnt seem like a children's story (according to myanimelist.net its pg-13).

Haruhi isn't, technically, anything (at least by the usual standards of sorting manga)... it was based on a novel series, not a manga.

Lucky Star is from the same genre group as "potemayo"...

    ie. "moe"

    look it up
