Thread: Recommend me sports or romance animes

Try watching one of the three movie from Makoto Shinkai. very, very good movie, and you could try Onegai twin or Onegai teacher.

Onegai sensei.. o.O now thats a good one.. haha..i love that anime.. a bit ecchi... and quite nice and darn funny Oh yea.. it's a nice reccomendation ^^

Sports Genre.. lets see... my top favourite would be this few... Slam Dunk a quite old anime... and Dear Boys is, i think.. still new ^^ this anime features Basketball Prince of tennis is not that new or that old either... and it's quite nice i watched all ^^ including the ova's and the movies... (the movie is a bit exagerated though) and its about tennis ^^

How about something funny about bread making? Yakitate Japan is very nice... darn funny ^^ and it's all about making many types of bread.. they even include on or 2 recipe on making their cool breads (like Japan #2 : a bread that is baked using rice cooker,...pretty cool huh? )

As for romance.. i suggest... Curious Play... ^^ or.. Fushigi no Yugi.. It's action genre mostly.. but girls loved it.. ^^ quite an old anime too

Why not go for the best of both worlds: Sazuka, its both a sports and Romance anime, but I would reccomend reading the manga, as the Anime only covers so much of the story line

After that I would recomend Kare Kano (His and Hers Circumstances), while there is some sports in the series (not much, but its there). I would also reccomend the Manga over the Anime, since the Anime only covers the first 7 volumes of the 21 Volume series. For a good laugh and lots of sports action, next up would be Bamboo Blade, its a newer series, and I haven't quite finished watching it all yet, but what I've seen is amazing, and surprisingly educational, I've learned alot about Kendo from watching it.

Bamboo blade? Sounds interesting.. Can i watch it on net? Do you know where? I could try and watch some sounds interesting.. I kinda like Kendo...

i preferably dislike sports genres, but for romance i would recommend the Rose of Versailles, Revolutionary Girl Utena, or Maison Ikkoku. all of them are much older series, but elaborate in plot and enjoyable. However, watch Utena, dont read it. the manga is simple and condensed, and the anime is great. i dont recommend the manga, due to it's altered storyline, and it was not as complex, but i loved the anime.

I have watched Prince of Tennis a couple times. It is really good.
Maybe later I will come with a good romance anime.
