    I think you should try these:-
    Higurashi Naku Koro ni kai ---or simply When They Cry
    Code geass
    Rainbow -dont be misguided by the name =D

    And if youre lookin for something awesome but really short -try Devil May Cry the anime series.12 awesome ,action packed and darn bloody episodes =D

    I would say that Hellsing, fate stay night, black lagoon, berserk, and trigun are all good action anime, definitely worth a look at.
    (trigun tends to have more comedy through out it but is still quite good)
    See now the game is historically inaccurate, because unlike feudal Japan, modern day France does not have any flying demonic stingrays. . . well, hardly any.

    Fruits Basket is a good one. starts off kinda slow but gets really good later on. reminds me of +Anima, but thats just a manga not an anime. Another really funny one is Rosario +vampire, it hilarious but has some pretty epic fight scenes in it

    I like watching Mobile Suit Gundam and Robotech.

    Do not know much about current series since I am not really impressed by their drawings.

    If you do not know what I am talking about, it's ok as those shows are popular in the 80s and 90s when some of you
    are not even born or just born to understand. But believe me, story and drawings wise, they are still the best to me
    and manga fans of my age.
