    Honestly if it follows the same plot as the game then whats the point? I really don't like the idea of having two of the exact same.....just play the game.
    However anime series and games can go hand in hand, the .hack series as an anime with rpg games unrelated works well...but not exactly what you were talking about.

    Some of the RPG to manga/anime seem to be pale in comparison with the original game. Well, that's how it seemed to me with Ragnarok, but I think it was a continuation of the manga.. not sure. ^^;

    I would love to see an Anime adaptation of Chrono Trigger and Grandia II, though. They're in my top favorite RPGs that don't fall in the Final Fantasy series. Also, Secret of Mana 2 would be pretty nice as an Anime.

    Chrono Trigger came out with an OVA, but it was more like a filler episode and you didn't even see the main characters' faces..

    Rpgs into anime can be good, sometimes its like a more intimate telling of the stories, cutscene compilations with filler, or a totally unrelated event told within the rpg's universe. Star Ocean: 2nd story was a good anime followed the games story and added more depth to it in a way. the . hack series were good, i havent gotten around to watching the old dragon quest anime from '89 yet, but the chrono trigger anime is entertaining to watch just because of its comical sidestory and reverse perspective.

    for the people who havent played the game cause they dont own the system
    or dont like how the game plays but do like the story
    and there are alot of people who want to "listen" to the same story more than once , and like me thye might just wanna sit back and watch the story
    instead of playing the whole game for 40+ hours again

    thanks a mill Naruto1988 for the sig
