To be specific, there are 3 seasons of 'Rurouni Kenshin'. The first two seasons are considered the definitive Samurai series of Anime. The third season, (which is what killed the Anime series,) is composed mostly of filler episodes that were completely unrelated to the original Manga series.

There is also the 'Samurai X' OVA series, which is composed of a prequel storyline and a epilogue ending for the TV series.

Media Blaster has the Region 1 license for the TV series, while ADV Films has the license for the OVA series. All are now available in collection releases, and are available at any good Anime webstore...

RRK was my favorite anime when i was 13-15 years old, i never loved the whole series tho...Like i've said before, i usually don't have much problem with fillers but RRK was a diff'rent thing. After seeing the intensity of the Shishio arc, i expected more intense arcs to come but i got a bunch of pointless episodes. It seemed like it was just the usual filler break but ending the show like that is simply pathetic.

My favorite character is Hajime, Saito. He's the only one capable of killing kenshin, and he's not a snitch that fell for kenshin's morality talks....

Okay, I got up to volume 8 of the manga, then I decided to buy the first complete season for Rurouni Kenshin off of Amazon. I was expecting it to be really awesome, because I was in love with the manga, and so was my brother as well. So as we put in the discs and watched them, Well I found my white walls more interesting, I don't know why but the voice acting for me was really bad, and they just didn't seemed thrilled or anything. and the music wasn't fitting the emotion, I think I remember someone was about to be killed and then they play this happy acoustic music. I just didn't get it and lost interest in Rurouni Kenshin after that. Maybe that's just me, I don't know.

But the story-line is really good, I don't really like romantic crap, but this was pretty good.
