For those of you who are lucky enough to have access to the Sci-Fi Channel on your local Cable connection, this is a reminder that June 11 is their Premier for their Anime Monday Night Program. (which will feature the US Premier of 'Ghost in the Shell SAC: Solid State Society'!!!)
I'll watch it on occasion, but a good chunk of the stuff--what I've heard from the rumor mill--they're gonna be playing has already aired on Adult Swim. So, I'll be keepin' an eye on it, just to see if there's gonna be some good stuff on.

I remember, back in '92 all the way until about '95 or 96, Sci-Fi Channel used to have Ani-Saturdays. ^_^ It was great! Cool shows like Project A-Ko and Tank Police were what started it, then they just kept goin' and goin'. I wonder if they'll show Akira again... That is some good anime right there.

    Re: Sci-Fi Channel Ani-Monday Night

Good, at least Len knew about this in order to post something in advance. I only noticed last night that the Sci-Fi Channel has started what they call “Ani-Monday” here state side. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice this in time to post something more in advance. Thus if left up to me those who could have tuned in missed “Ghost In The Shell: Solid State Society” (which was very good IMO, maybe the best GITS to date).

Anyway, there doesn’t seem to be much rhyme or reason nor is there consistency to the shows in terms of them being shown from start to finish of a series. BUT this does give those (state side at least) who tune in an opportunity to see some new and old anime for FREE!

Of note is Noein which is a pretty good little anime but is kind of confusing at first, Macross is a classic which for those under 24-25 you may not have seen.

Here is a listing of June and July’s Schedules (All times listed are EST) for those too lazy to check the site out, I am listing the prior dates as well so you can see what they have been offering and thus may offer again.

From what I understand, 'GITS SAC: Solid State Society' will eventually have a showing on Adult swim within a month or two... You just have to keep an eye on the schedules...

    Whoo, can't wait!
And yes. People do have to keep an eye on the damn schedule AS has in store for Anime. Because it's never solid.
