This is one of my favorites and categorized as josei. The story has depth, really engaging and funny plus the characters are adorable. The art style needs a little getting used to but still pleasant. Overall this is highly recommended.
They made a Jdorama out of this and I'm still wondering how I managed to sit through 13 episodes or so of it. They did such a bad job and makes me reluctant to read the manga. ]:

If your going to make a recommendation, your going to have to EXPLAIN WHY YOU RECOMMEND IT!!! Just pulling names out of hat is nothing more then a list post...
FAVOURITE THREADS EXPLAIN why, or risk an infraction.

If you liked Absolute Boyfriend, you should definitely read Imadoki by Watase Yuu.

Of Watase Yuu's present-day themed mangas, it's my favorite cuz of the message it gives to the reader.

    Summary from Watase Yuu 渡瀬悠宇
The story of Tanpopo, a girl from the countryside, who enters a prestigious high school through examination. A naive girl with a cheerful outlook, she struggles to make friends and bring life to Kugyou's world, using the philosophy of flowers.
