I also needed to know something: Isn't that series a lot older than half of the stuff they discuss in the dubbed version? To me it looks almost as old as Ranma 1/2 and that's OLD! But you'll hear things like, "Text A-S-S, if you want Action Bastard to win!" LOL.

Anywho, let's discuss, shall we?

i effing love this show. the beating bunny is the best! "I long for death, i yearn for it!" "It makes the gloomys go away!"

but i like the random one liners you hear if you listen closely "Theres a terrible accident blocking the roads for miles. if youre in the back youre going to have to wait to see the bloody carnage."

Yeah, Happiness Bunny rocks! They played a new episode with Happiness Bunny the other day, titled 'Happiness Bunny's Revenge's Revenge!' LOL. That was a good one! I won't spoil it for ya by quoting anything yet. ^_^

I love how random the show is. It's so friggin' funny! I like the sexual humor in it too. There are a lot of oral sex jokes on that show, LOL. "I can't believe it! We're finally going on a trip down under! And I don't mean oral this time!" That's just too damn good!

When I first watched it, I'm going what the hell. But after the first month or so I found it very funny. Heck if i had a family like that I would be the most amused person on the planet.

I have to confess Shin-Chan Is a hell of Crap Kid but He is so F*CKING FUNNY!! No Doubt!! I love the way he freely says all things that adult dont say it!! Like "Hot girl in the midnight show" by meaning "pornography"...or call Godfather to the principal just coz he thinks the principal looks like a guy in Mob, he's so hilarious!! now I have been readthe manga!! GEEZ He Kills me!!

Happy Bunny scares me when I'm half asleep watching him.

I love this show. I don't care about the art in this one. I think its perfect for it. Shin-Chan is a 5 year old boy who's best friend is his ass. Classic.

Shin-Chan manga started in 1990 and the Anime came in around '92 but its still an ongoing series so thats why you still he new things such as the text message comment.

Yeah, and Happiness Bunny only gets scarier in the newer episodes, LOL. I love how Shin gets a kick out of adult things or random silly things that even most kids aren't interested in.

Thanks for the info on the age of the series! ^_^ That answers a lot of questions. Like why does an old anime have characters with cell phones. LOL.

Considering the entire show is re-written for Ameircan audiences and none of the scripts actually match the original storylines or dialog, there's quite a bit of "updating" with pop-culture references that wouldn't have been appropriate when the show first aired, or that aren't intelligable at all to a Japanese audience.

American Shinchan has about as much to do with the original as "Samurai Pizza Cats".
