strange girl in Negima, that no one notices

Hi, all.


I have just watched the first few episodes of Negima, and I have a question. There is a very pale girl in the classroom that doesn't speak, and the other characters can't see her. She has red eyes. Can anyone tell me who this character is? Perhaps someone who has read the manga? My first impression was that she was a ghost, but I could be completely wrong. Thanks!

She is a ghost, (as mentioned in the official trailer at Official Funimation Negima website and unfortunatly, we don't hear her story until... episode 19 if remember correctly... ( I would have like to see her character more invovled in the series, but ...)
