Thread: What is the difference

Well I am an anime fan so ANIME and CARTOONS are different because Anime they don't repeat the episodes again and again in every week of the day unlike cartoons. Anime has a plot and a storyline. Cartoons doesn't have any of those. Cartoons are like retarded characters. Like Tom and Jerry. It's a cat who is chasing a mouse and Jerry always wins. Sorry to those who are Cartoon fans. I really didn't mean it. But for me Anime is much better than Cartoons. Well that's my opinion.

anime= made in japan. and the animation style is cleary different.

And just try to see the difference between the drawings. Here I'll give you an example:

Power Puff Girls

+ANIME:
Magic Knight Reyearth

Try to see the difference among the two.

anime come near to the human and the pepole and the faces and the body but cartoon it's i see only for funny stuiped things .... and if you want by drawing you can see that ....

ANIME is brilliant.

CARTOONS are not.

Anime = Japan. Cartoons = Everywhere else.

not true exactly back in the 40's during WW 2 animations was at its peak
with AARP that had such classics as bugs bunny daffy duck yosemite SAM
yes the drawings went down hill after a few years but the details in people
characters and the alike were really top notch , there were a few cartoon's
that were very popular that were the same detail as anime back then.

but as America went towards more comedy and action and less
on details that's when anime became popular and its when the plots
were more differed as well , take some of the classics like sniffles
the mouse the detail in back ground were amazing and really
could have been mistaken for anime but being that we were
at war no one really cared much for animation from japan.

i could name off a few more cartoon from a while back that could be
called excellent in drawing and plots but it wuld take a while lol so
i want but the cartoons today are just rally sad comapred to how they
used to be.

The difference to me is Anime made in japan with great animation and story lines with really cool characters,And Cartoons made in the US with crappy at times animation and really stupid story lines with weird characters .But thats just me
