Thread: What do you think about shōjo-ai/shōnen-ai anime?

More or less both have the same history. 3 schools only for girls, one dormitory for the 3 schools, romance and love between 2 or more characters. I think it's another type of anime. It's another kind to enjoy a drama/romance/love serie. Another point of view. What about you?

Well, I have no problem with shoujo-ai/shounen-ai. Like what you said: They are taken from another perspective. I mean, for me, it would be quite boring too if all romance-genred anime were about heterosexual couples.

I have no problem with those types of anime either. I enjoy all types of anime. As for the whole lesbian/gay issue, I believe that is all up to the person. I enjoy watching it, cause it is romance. And I, as a female, love romantic animes.

Actually I like all types of anime series as long as it has a good story and a plot. I could careless if its heterosexual, shonen-ai, yaoi meh whatever. I just love watching anime .

Depends on my mood I huess. Sometimes I like settling down with those and sometimes they make me sick. Its a diffrent way of thinking and that makes it desirable. But it still s up to my mood whether I like it or not.

I don't think there's a right or wrong kind of manga/anime. I know that I don't read yaoi (boy love) solely because I don't swing that way, LOL--I've read maybe one or two... Eh... Not my cup of tea. That's all I can say about yaoi.

But to each thier own, y'know? Yuri... Yuri's okay. It's pretty much the same thing, 'xcept with girls. I've read a few. They're alright. I wouldn't put it on my top five manga to read list, but I'll get down on a couple. I mean there's good humor in either or (yuri/yaoi) but it just doesn't keep hold of my attention long enough for me to shell out ten bucks a volume.

I have no probleme whit shonen ai anime i think some are very good seen from a romantic point of view.
I saw Strawberry Panic and i liked it very much and i tought it whas very intresting, the fact that Etuale-sama showed litlle emotion whas verey good for the storyline.
I also liked the fact that it's about tree girl schools that are located on the same hill and share the same dormentry, it,s defenetly a good story setting for romance!

And i just saw tree episodes of Maria Sama Ga Miteru and i defently want to see al episodes of this Anime, it seems to me that it wil have an intresing storyline.

I also saw some other Anime in this genre and i think some of the are prety good.

Do I like them? Not really, I don't watch them....Do I think they are right? They are certainly not wrong, anime should appeal to all people....
