I Think Hellsing is cool. I think maybe Akria, or Ghost in the shell. But go with AKRIA. That ones a classic, and cool.

um well I am not much of a manga person either...but it depends on what genre you want to read...
I would suggest Akira,Maison Ikkoku,hot Gimmick,Negima,Azumanga Daioh and rurouni kenshin ^-^

It's very great. It's sort of like tht anime where everyone is obsessed with bread. Just the chef is some perverted guy, and you have to replace bread with curry.
