but what pulled me in was the different stories of other anime.

i got into anime when i was around 4 or 5 when i spent my time waking up early and watching Sailor Moon. I woul look forward to it everyday at 6:30 before school. Then ive loved anime since.
Same thing with me, but DBZ was another anime I watched as well. I would never make it to school on time because of it, but it was worth it =DQuote:

Vampires. Plain and simple. My love of the 'Aristocracy of the Night' lead me to watch the Hellsing Anime and read the Magnas. That then lead to Berserk then Samuria Champloo and so on until I'm now a Junkie for Horror/Action Anime :D:
My brother got me into anime. When we first got our computer he downloaded Neon Genesis Evangelion and i liked it very much that i started watching anime too ^^.
Well, guess it's my turn. I'm another who was watching it at first without knowing, watching a few kiddies things, Technoman, Speed Racer & a couple others before going to primary school in the mornings. Didn't realize it was Anime back then, just cartoons with awesome fighting, interesting monsters & so on.

Then after a few years of watching that stuff, I was told about an 'Anime' show by a friend. While most of what I'd watched before that was American cartoons with traces of Anime, What Haywood introduced me to was nothing like that. Tuning into SBS at the time slot he'd told me about, I saw my first episode of Neon Genesis Evangelion. It blew my mind. American stuff was always "this guy is evil, these ones are good" & lacking action, NGE was completely different! Watching the show religiously, I even started watching both sets when they started playing the series from the start again in another time slot, while the other kept going without stopping. Mind you, it wasn't for a year or so I finally saw the first episode, having missed it each time.
After that my interest in Anime slowed slightly during High School, though I got to watch Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon & a couple more on TV. Yes, I liked Sailor Moon. She was pretty:eek::p1:. Not a crush, just thought she was pretty. I occasionally saved a pic I found to disk to look at later & use as backgrounds, but they got deleted of the computer quickly, since it was for "School work, homework & nothing else".
It wasn't until I left High School my interest returned, & now I watch it when I can, I've signed up to a video hire shop who have a good deal of the stuff, & I buy Manga when I've got a few dollars to throw that way. But even after all these years, Neon Genesis Evangelion still holds a special place in my heart as my first real Anime.
well...i got into anime cauz i just drawed something, so i watched at my pc on the internet and i saw a anime pic and i said to myself that i also draw such pictures...
And so on i began to watch anime non stop, and i still enjoy it, i got to know i was drawing anime when i was 12 years old, and im now 14! ^.^
