Thread: What got you into anime??

To be honest...it just happened...my first anime was Sailor moon..tho i didn't know it as anime until AFTER 7th grade xD, and my friends got me into it in gr 8

My best friend, definitely. She was obsessed with manga and anime and it was like a sticky disease( a good one). I saw a few anime series when I was little and I don't know what happened, but I just stopped watching. Years later, here she comes and bang, she got me into the anime world. For me, an old memory came back to life. I'll always be thankful to her^^.

I got started on anime when i as around 4 or 5. Well we never had Disney cause my parents said that they hid the truth about the world. so instead we got the off copies of the little mermaid and the grimms fairy tales. But they were animes now that i think about it. Especially our copy of the little mermaid. Their names weren't even the same and she only had three sisters. but I remember that the sea witch had stole her man and the only way for her to become a mermaid again was she had stab the prince in the heart and have his blood wash over her feet to become a tail again, and her sisters had to give the witch all of their hair just to warn their sister. it was really sad cause in the end she killed herself and the prince and the witch got married. And after those movies i got into watching Ninku.
And then it moved to DBZ and so on.

well i would have to say that i got into anime because when i was young it was all i would watch if someone tried to turn my channel i would yell at them then turn it right back so technically i have always loved anime

I really got into anime when one of my friends gave me a dvd and basically said "MAKE SURE AND WATCH It!" cuz i was depressed since my favorite writer stopped his series and from then on i got hooked.

well i came here for gundam wing and something like that but now i'm here for gundam wing and chicks
