What would happen if anime wasn't real?

I was wondering what would happen if anime wasn't real. Lets say no one knew about, no one made it, and no one never ever seen it. Never! (I would cry)

But what would happen then?

Pretty much the same things that go on today. Anime doesn't have very much affect on human history.

i think that there will be more crime. without this to intertan there will be more people out there with the lust for violents death and mayham that wont have it fullfilled by watching anime and take it out on the world

Before Anime started becoming popular in the College underground foreign film circuit in the late 1980s, the popular foreign underground films were the French noir and erotic films. The only Japanese films (other then the Kurosawa Samurai classics) were the man in rubber monster suit movies such as the 'Godzilla' series, which were strictly considered kiddie fodder...

But seriously, this is a no brainer as others have said. How would we miss it if it never was created. We would just have caught on to another hobby or whatever. Maybe reading?
