Thread: Why are the girls clothes so short?

lol its called "Fanservice" it gives those low lives something to look at upon for the next episode lol ^_^
but in most animes ive seen dont have such low cut skirts or anythin like that, most of the time they sometimes do like an updraft that blows the skirts up somehow and show a little panties but thats it..... i think???
like would someone point out something that the girls in the anime have it low cut plz

Lol. Know what you mean. I think if a girl can actually pull off the short skirt then go for it but if it just looks plain awful DON'T TRY TO PULL IT OFF! It's hurtful to the eyes! >.<

I think there's tons of reasons, depending on the show and/or manga. Some reasons I suppose are:

-Fanservice
-To make the female (lead especially)s stand out
-To emphasize on their youth and/or beauty i.e. low cut to show off their neck and high cut to show off their (usually) long, slender legs.


I think the last one especially, because in western cartoons you see the same thing done as well. Young and beautiful women are portrayed as curvy, small waisted, large busted vixens ^.~
