The Worst Anime Voice-Overs

What is the worst dub/ anime voice overs you ever heard? for me I'd have to say Rurouni Kenshin. they have no feeling behind what they say, no matter what the situation may be. the voices are just terrible dude.

I agree...they're like robots...wait...robots would be better... but they also had their moments...

well i happened to like the voice for Kenshin not all of them just him, Other wise i would have to agree. I think a bad voice over was for Lord Kagatara in Mirage of blaze. That wasnt the best.

but i dont think that i can pin down a single overall really really bad exaple right now....
on terms of good dubs, Funimation always does a great job- take FMA, Gunslinger Girl, and Negima for example.

The worse has to be the "Knights of the Zodiac" which was the cartoon network version of Saint Seiya here in the US. I believe that is one of the reason the show did not become a hit. plus the cut too many of the good parts because they thought it was too violent However the AVD films English version of Saint Seiya was awesome and uncut.

Any where the characters can't properly pronounce their own names:

ie. Card Captor Sakura: "SAH-koo-rah" = "SuhKOOruh" *cringe*
Inu Yasha: "KAH-goh-meh" = "KuhGOHmee" ?*shiver*

Seriously... NAMES do not change their pronunciation to match the language of the dub! We don't change the name "Jorge" to "GEORGE-jay" because that's what it looks like to us...

It's just indicative of incredibly laziness on the part of the actors and their scriptwriters (who probably didn't bother to tell them the way the name should actually be pronounced)

That's for sure, anywho, back on topic. The worst voice actin' I've ever heard was from 10 Tokyo Warriors. Everytime I hear the voice actin' on that show, my ears hurt. Not ta mention the sound effects r jus' plain terrible.

I Have to say DNA2 English Dub...Its The worst! But the Story is Great i prefer to watch Japanesse Dub Vers of It

I agree that the voice-over and the dub's story and dialog sucks. but the original japanese version is fantastic! it's like my favourite anime ever! the dub doesn't even follow the original. the dialog is totally different...and they edit out ALL the action! it souldn't even be called "One Piece" it should be called "Dub Piece."

I would have to say Macross Plus is one of the worst dubs. I've seen the movie and it was much better than the dub OVA. I like Magic Knight Rayearth but there voices are kinda painfull.

To be honest, I hate most English dubs. The only ones I can actually watch and enjoy are Cowboy Bebop and Trigun.
I really hate the English dub for Naruto - Every character except Sasuke is annoying as hell. I love Naruto in Japanese, don't get me wrong.
Same with Bleach - The English voices annoy me greatly - But in Japanese it's awesome. ?_?
