The X tv series is one of my favorite anime, I'm a huge Clamp fan. In my opinion the tv series is way better than the movie. The character development and story are much deeper, the movie just kind of blows through everything. The only problem I have with the tv series is the ending. It makes sense but it was very unsatisfying. Over all it's an awesome anime that has superior animation and some of the best music I've heard. I'm curious what the rest of you think.

I've seen the movie and have liked it very much. I'd like to see the TV series and compare the two.

I agree with you for the most part about the movie. I was VERY dissapointed with the movie and the ending was horrible. The animation, art, and music were good but that's to be expected from Clamp.

Well, that's because the movie was a compressed version of the TV series. I watched the movie before the series, and almost didn't buy the series because I thought the movie was crap. ^^;; Like, less than 5 minutes into the show Subaru's already gone!?!? But I'd read the manga before that, so I didn't hate X/1999 just because of the movie. ^^

So did you like Tokyo Babylon then? It sucks how Subaru and Seishiros' freindship ends. That was one of my favorite battles. I had forgotten about their battle in the movie, that was complete crap. Someone who didn't know the story would have no idea what was going on there.
