Yaoi and Hentai... What are your thoughts?

Lately at my school, I see alot of people who are in to anime, and their either reading yaoi, hentai, or just normal anime... witch is cool, cause it say's they have intrest in it, but when others see it, their like 'OMG, what the F*** are you reading?' or even 'You're gay...Cause your reading that.'

So what I want to know, is have any of you had this kind of experience, or seen/known someone who has something done like this to them... and what do you think/your comment of this topic? :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: Please review.

well i read and watch hentai all the time cause there is nothing wrong with it its just some people don't agree with it me personsally i think it is great

Anyway, I don't think it's a problem just as long you don't become creepy and start to like, constantly talk about it, or only get off on Hentai and not human beings y'know?

If your classmates think series like Gravitation and Loveless are Yaoi, then they're not reading Yaoi at all.

Consider the following:

Yaoi = a Shojo subgenre [meaning that it is targeted towards a female audience] that revolves around two men; one playing the role of the woman and the other playing the role of the man. There is graphic sex and nothing but sex. There is little story and if there is a story, it is a shallow as a trashy romance novel. You have a setting and then you have lots of sex.

Boy's Love = a Shojo subgenre that is similar to Yaoi except it actually has a plot and actually revolves around a relationship rather than meaningless sex. There is no graphic sex whatsoever. The closest thing that you will get is two guys cuddling, kissing, and rubbing invisible genitalia in front of a flowery and sparkling backdrop. There is no visible penis. There is no graphically rendered penetration.

June <pronounced "joo-nay"> = This is a subgenre that actually has elements of both Yaoi and BL.

Shonen-Ai = This is an outdated term from the 80's that once served as the basis and archetype for Shotacon and BL, but as of late, it has been redefined as "real life pedophilia". Uninformed people often confuse Shonen-Ai and Boy's Love to be one and the same.

Yuri = A Shojo subgenre that revolves around two women. This category includes all forms of girl x girl subcategories [e.g. hardcore, softcore, "GL"] except for actual Lesbian Hentai.

Lesbian Hentai = Hentai that involves two or more busty voluptuous women having sex with each other in an extremely graphic manner. Double-ended dildos, strap-ons, and Futanari [dickgirls] are commonplace.

Gei-comi = This is actual guy on guy that is actually targeted towards the male audience. Extremely more graphic than Yaoi and makes Yaoi look considerably tame. The men usually look like Freddy Mercury and bodybuilders. Srsly.

There you have it. Every time I see a thread about Yaoi, I just feel it to be necessary to educate people about it. Yes.

Eh, this has happened once to me...but only once.

Now, I was reading my little Yaoi manga during free time, (or, what the teachers call 'study hall'), and this guy comes up to me, sees what I'm reading, and is all like 'Oh my gosh you are soooo gay!' And I'm like whatever loser get a life. So, the best way to deal with this, don't bring yaoi or hentai manga to school.

i thiink that they are just jellious that ppl like us can find a big groupe of us and hang out but they have nothing to do so thats what make them make fun of us
