Is there only seven dolls made? Or there’s more? And who chooses who? Is it the doll that chooses their master or the other way around? I really like this manga but I wasn’t able to watch its first episode.

Yes only 7 theyre may be more in the 3rd series cause they gotta have some way in making it interisting the doll chooses the master or"medium" and theyre medium gives them power through the ring that they wear

there's 7 made by Rozen, and ther's one that's made by Enju, Barasuishou, I don't think that any one choose anyone, cause Shinku didn't choose Jun.~nano

Yeah, there are only 7!! Can't remember all their names though.....all I know is Suiseiseki, and.....uh.....omg I can't belive I don't know the rest.....O_O

Yup, the 7 Rozen Maiden dolls (The 7 dolls made by Rozen, whom the dolls fondly call 'Father' ) are Suigintou (Mercury Lampe), Hinaichigo (Klein Beere), Suiseiseki (Jade Stern) and her twin, Souseiseki (Lapislazuli Stern), Shinku (Reiner Rubin), Kanaria (Kanarienvogel), Kirakishou (She appeared only in the last episode of Rozen Maiden Traumend...though her appearance was very brief...like about a few seconds...don't worry, you can see/read more about her in the manga)

There's an extra doll too. The 8th doll (appearing as the main villian in Rozen Maiden Traumend) She's Barasuishou (Rozenkristall) The other Rozen Maiden dolls thought that she was Rozen's last doll (the 7th doll). But actually she was made by Enju (a doll-maker in Rozen Maiden Traumend) and not Rozen himself. Enju made Barasuishou to look like Kirakishou (the actual 7th doll made by Rozen). Only, Barasuishou's dress is lavender in colour and Kirakishou's dress is pale pink. The fashion of both the dresses are different from each other too.

Hehe. All 8 dolls are very pretty and their Gothic Lolita dresses looked amazing in the anime. Very much prettier on screen than in the manga! And each of them have a very distinct character thus making each doll very different from their other 'sisters'.
