Anime Music Video (AMV) contest!

AO is proud to present its first ever periodic Anime Music Video (AMV) contest!

If you plan on entering please READ EVERYTHING ON THIS PAGE!

Entry Time Line:
Submission deadline for the contest is 11:59 PM EST JUNE 30TH, 2007

Rules:
Submissions must adhere to the following rules:

1. Only 1 submission per person of an AMV you and ONLY YOU created.
a. You may consult anyone you wish but YOU must have done the work.
2. AMV must be of “good” quality* (See note below) to be accepted.
3. Video must conform to site rules (No Hentai, for example)
4. You must state the series & production studio(s) for the video footage
5. You must state the artist(s)/group(s) and song(s) used in your AMV
6. Your video must be at least 3:00 minutes in length
7. If your AMV contains SPOILERS or EXPILICT lyrics then it should be marked as so
8. Video must be loaded to ONE of the below sites and linked back to AO.
9. Submissions must be in the contest entries forum (Here) and follow the sample submission below.

* “good” quality means that the audio, video and effort are well done and thought out. Simply adding audio to a clip of consecutive unedited/unclipped series footage is not allowed. Also poor quality (YouTube-ish) SOURCE video footage is not acceptable.

Voting will be via a public poll and any registered AO member may participate.

NOTE: There must be at least 5 entries for prizes to be awarded.

can we use an AMV already posted on the forums or do we
make a new AMV and saying who made the anime the song you
use and other fact can you typ it under the link of the amv or do
they have to be in the AMV it self?.

AMV.org max file size is 100mb, unless you have special permission.

You may use one you have already completed...but the point of a contest is really to do something new for the contest. It also helps if no one has seen your AMV previously..."shock & awe" of seeing a AMV for the first time go a long way in voting.

The credits don't have to be in the AMV...but it is a good practice to do that so no one "steals" your work. The credits DO have to be listed with your submission!!!

At @ace thanks for the info on AMV.org file limits. I didn't see it (tis blind though, lol) listed anywhere so I assumed they didn't have any.

Also if you wish to CHANGE your entry you may do so as long as it is ENTERED/UPDATED BY THE DEADLINE!!! Any changes made to your entry after the deadline will result in disqualification.

ok then i will make a new amv i didnt think about
how everyone has seen mine so far so i will do that
and i will practice putting the credits on the amv as well
though for this one i will post the under the link.

Like I stated earlier to Holder, it is best to put it in the AMV so no one can steal your work…but for this contest I am NOT requiring that…when you create your submission thread use the same layout as below:
