lucky ur not entering the contest cuz urs scores are inmortal amigo. I'll try to do my best.
Since i've spent so much time in the Arcade before returning to active duty here as a member of the staff I decided i'll be doing arcade contests from time to time based off of a game of my choosing. This is the first and won't be the last, so keep an eye out for these!
Game: Breakout - Click to go to game
Rules: Highest score in breakout between the dates listed on this thread will be the winner. Any dates already up on breakout that are not listed as the dates in this thread will not be counted, so don't worry if you can't get first place in the actual game, this is highest scores only so try to get a really high score so nobody can beat it!
Dates: 9/23/06 - 9/30/06 (You have 7 days)
Prizes: 1st place will recieve 10,000 vbplaza points, 2nd place will recieve 5,000 vbplaza points, 3rd place will recieve 1,000 vbplaza points.
Who can participate: All levels of regular members, staff members can not participate, this excludes, however, clan leaders who CAN participate
On the 30th I will go and look at the high scores for the game and see who is the highest. Multiple scores by the same person will only count one time. For example, if you had multiple scores all of which were the highest in the contest i'd only count it as 1 score and award first place. The next person under those scores would recieve second place and so on. This is so that people won't think they can get a ton of highest scores and win all 3 prizes. You can only win ONE of the prizes.

ahh breakout now that take me back... it was the first game i ever played on a computer.. me and my sis played it a hell of alot.. didn't realise that the arcade had this game lol
welli got a nice score on the third time... lol.. talk about being the 3rd time is a charm lol..
oh yeah my score is 129460.
I'm seeing a lot of people with scores submitted for the 22nd. Please note that if this pertains to you these scores will NOT count. Scores must be between the 23rd and the 30th to count towards the contest, no exceptions will be made.
i'm just wondering but if u mean that it was the 22nd over there and it was the 23rd over here.. then u will only go by ur date... is that correct.. and if thats so.. the person who thought that he was in the specified date, will be discounted on no fault but his own... even though he thought that he was in the correct period?..
and if thats so... i'm curious what date it is over there.. other wise alot of people might get confused.
I'm going by the date on the Anime Online clock. It should put the scores down based on your time settings so it would only say the 23rd if it was actually the 23rd for that person. If not I can check and make sure, to award the person their points if needbe.
You people are ****ing lucky I can't enter.
This game is pretty similar to arkanoid and no one here beats me at that that.
I even had the all time record in this game at the old AO. It was more than 240000.
Also, the game is still faulty and buggy as ****. I tried to play it twice, my mouse froze up after a couple of minutes both times, the second time it took a little longer though...
