Roy Mustang of course except if it was raining then Ed all the way. But Roy has a lot more experience and has went up aginst foes greater than Ed. So yeah Roy would win.

Mustang would win because he can easily burn fire completely around him wich will kill him for the following reasons
1.the heat around him woul make him sweat so much that he woul dehydrate and passout and then without medical attention probabli die.
2.By startin fire exacly everywhere around fullmetal will cause that all the oxigen around fullmetal will be consumed by the fire and will kill fullmetal.the fire wont be off because there is still oxygen outside of the bubble of fire in wich fullmetal is in!

I will choose Mustang,.. In spite of Ed's dtermination and heart, Its not enough to defeat Mustang as his superior. And besides, Mustang had more battle before and he had more experience than Ed...

And why are you people continuing to discuss this? Mustang beat clearly won in the manga and the only reason he didn't win in the anime is because he stopped at the last second (just before he was going to fry Edward) because he saw his war crimes flash before his eyes.

I agree! Ed may have won alot of good fights but, he rushes into things without thinking and planning! That and Edwards better at close range fighting than distant attacks like Mustang's alchemic explosions.

mustang would win. mustang isnt going full bore in the fights he has with ed. if he had used all his detrmination and skill, he would have flame broiled ed.
