And why are you people continuing to discuss this? Mustang beat clearly won in the manga and the only reason he didn't win in the anime is because he stopped at the last second (just before he was going to fry Edward) because he saw his war crimes flash before his eyes.

I agree! Ed may have won alot of good fights but, he rushes into things without thinking and planning! That and Edwards better at close range fighting than distant attacks like Mustang's alchemic explosions.

mustang would win. mustang isnt going full bore in the fights he has with ed. if he had used all his detrmination and skill, he would have flame broiled ed.

I would like to belive that if the fight would have gone on for a longer time then Ed would have won. Not because of him having more stamina but because Mustangs really only move is his gloves where Ed is less predictable and does a lot of different stuff. In time ed would have realized this and found a way around it. where ed doesn't have any other weaknesses other than his height.

1) The reason people discuss this topic is because it is fun to.

2) Ed would have won because Roy hesitated and, hesitation leads to destruction isn't it obvious?

Roy. There is no question. Ed is just a child compared to him. Roy has much more experience in fighting than Ed does. Yes, ed is a state alchemist with a stubborn personality and strong will, but reality gets the best out of most of us. And reality is Roy'd win.

I think that they would have worn them selves out and still cept going at it until one of them couldnt work anymore and then the other would take their chance. Personally I think Mustang would have annoued Ed so much that he would erupt and take charge at Mustang and beat him. Ed has so much anger in him that it would become energy.

I have to agree that Mustang would win. He is a skilled manipulator of

emotions and Ed can't fight that because he's too emotional. Besides, Mustang has experienced a lot of years worth of killing and fighting.
