That is true ^_^ If a person wants to invent something he has to give a lot of hard work in order to achieve his/her goals. But the thing is that humans want more and more.
What is technology doing? All we are doing nowadays is breaking the ground wherever we go and use it for the “benefit” of others. Psshh.

Anyways it doesn’t relate to things on a big scale but to small things, like if you want to pick up a glass of water you need to move your body to get it.

But people are starting to gain without giving something in return and therefore harming the society and the planet itself. Global warming, garbage problems, diseases like AIDS and so on. If it goes on there is sure to be a not-so-good future >_>

Indeed, this quote is very wise, but not necessarily true. As mentioned before by many AO'ers, sometimes, things do come accidentally, but aren't always permanent. In order to recieve, you must give. That's just the way it works.

I think it varies, most of the time it's true, sometimes it's not. I don't think I did anything wrong to deserve to have cancer. Sometimes circumstances happen that go beyond any kind of equivilant exchange. There are always exceptions to every rule.

I think the quote is very powerful and real
in the real world when we try to gain somethin we have to pay an equivalent price
for example humans use technology to benefit themselves in life like cars,computers,tvs, heat and other stuff. while we are gaining these things in life we are also payin a heavy price..... we are destroyin the earth by usin up its resources.

Dante and Hoenhiem had it right in FMA, there is no equivalent exchange in the "larger picture"; it only applies within yourself, not without.

SO very true life is not fair this is to weed out the weak, but there still is an equivilence; one life passes another comes to be, lost money is usually found, and you cannot know true love without experiencing hate.

i think it depends because most things in life can't be taken without giving sacrifices of different types as a price yet on the other hand there's things that don't abide to this rule such as love as an example when a baby is born in a family the baby is looked after very well because of human instincts that stick the parents willingly to love their sons and to take care of them but when that baby grows up and become a man who repays his parents for their kindness towards him it's not their love that made him that way but the way they brought him up and built his characteristics personality whether he's living in a bad environment inside or outside his house or not

but if you do bad things good things don't always come back to you. Like what goes around comes around.Like if your disrespectfull to someone their gonna be disrespectful to you.

And vise versa
