![]() | Re: Whats the Best thing about FullMetal Alchemist The best thing, i think about full metal alchemist, is the fact that its way different from most other animes. theres no energy attacks, powering up or any think else that you would expect from other animes like dbz or yuyuhakusho.

![]() ![]() | Re: Whats the Best thing about FullMetal Alchemist Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the few series that has focused on love without becoming a romance. Nearly everyhing that drove the storyline (the creation of the homunculi, Ed and Al's condition, pursuit of the philosopher's stone...) resulted directly from the love of one character for another and the consequences of pursuing that love beyond the bounds of nature. Most anime is rather commercial and immature about love: boiling it all down to very simple terms that can easily be turned into harlequin-level doujinshi or fanfic. But in FMA, girl + boy is probably the least interesting and intense sort of love presented. The familial relationships (parents and children, brothers), the relationships between co-workers, and relationships between teachers and students all get the sort of attention usually reserved for sappy shoujo lovefests. I honestly think that most people who write romance doujinshi or fanfic for FMA "didn't get it"... the canon is fabulous (up until Shamballa, which I'm pretending didn't happen). It's one of the few series that DIDN'T leave me craving fanon. The character relationships were just lovely as they were. |

![]() ![]() | Re: Whats the Best thing about FullMetal Alchemist The best thing about fullmetal is the story. How they show the love between these two brothers who just want to get their bodies back and get things the way they used to be. They really show how much they love eachother, and how much the other characters in the series care about them too. |

![]() | Re: Whats the Best thing about FullMetal Alchemist What i liked about it was that Ed and all always kept up with their dreams, and what they wanted to acompish besides the condition they were in, and i like the style, even thoug it did have a lot of drama in it.
