Re: Who else here thinks Full Metal Alchemist blows?
I was skeptical of it too at first. It is too long and is way too hyped up. But I was suprised how easily I got into it. There aer some really mature elements in the plot line, alluding to issues of tradegy, compassion, trust, betrayal, growing up, learning selflessness, and so many other things that I think the series definitely has some redeeming aspects.
It's better than Inuyasha, which lacks those things that give FMA depth and is just a series that ran too long with no serious story or character development. I think FMA does a much better job in comparison.

MUCH better. Hell, I think that Ranma 1/2 is better than Inu Yasha, so you can imagine how much better I think FMA is. LOL.
Don't get me wrong. It takes a lot for me to say I hate a certain anime series (you're talkin' to a guy who watches Perfect Hair Forever religiously), and I like Inu Yasha. I just happen to think that FMA is SO much better. It's aimed toward more adults than kids/teens.
Re: Who else here thinks Full Metal Alchemist blows?
i never really got into it, so i cant truely say if i like it or not. i am a big fan of Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha, espicially since that was my first manga.
Re: Who else here thinks Full Metal Alchemist blows?
I can't watch any anime, but I am on volume 15 in the series and I like it so far. It really isn't a favorite of mine, but it dosen't blow, so you really are the only one to feel that way.
Re: Who else here thinks Full Metal Alchemist blows?
ok, i wouldnt say blows, perhaps, but i will say a couple episodes could have been removed due to the filler quality.
but it is nothing like inu yasha. FMA has only 52 episodes, where as inu yasha im doubting if it even has an end.
and the movie has been made, but it would be nice if it was made into a live action version.
Re: Who else here thinks Full Metal Alchemist blows?
i think the it is a good Anime. it has a good story line with Both humor action and a bucket full of emotions.
In my opinion it is not a Dragged oute Anime if you made it shorter you would have lost alot of important factors to what makes this Anime so good.
but in the end this is my opinion.. ;)

and i agree with you ... this anime holds a lot of mental meanings (is that even the right word to use?! :confused1:) within it ... it was very good though it's different from the manga in many ways :rolleyes1: ... but still it's good and i'm more likely to watch it again ....
