You have to watch the entire anime to really grasp the consept of the story line. Its not just some anime u can start watching half way through and expect to understand it. Another thing u have to pay attention to detail. The first 35 or so episodes arnt that interesting but they give a lot of information that seams irrelevent up untill the very end then thats when it all ties together. if u have a short attention span then this anime isnt 4 u. n like some of u said the manga is better then the anime.

it's realy cool so i guess u are the only one. but i do agree with inyusha it is too long and the plot is easy just kill that nymfo already!!!! oh and fma kicks ass but not my favorite in top5

well i think its not really right to create a thread sayin that this certain anime blows. like say an anime u like was made into a thread that it blows. i like fma and full-metal alchemist is one of the best animes out of all.

I've never really gotten in to FMA, but it doesn't look like anything special. I will pretty much watch anything, so there's something to be said about the fact that FMA couldn't catch and hold my attention. I'm not saying it's bad, but I have litttle to no intrest in it. It gets more credit than it deserves.

Well, I can't say that I completely disagree with you on this subject. The fact is that the anime was dragged out to some extent, unlike Inuyasha though, it finally ended. Now that the movie was released I'd have to say that there are alot of wierd things that happen that make it seem like the creators just thought up random things, and the way it ended was, well, it didn't tie up all the loose ends.

wat??? u kiddin me FMA was like one of the best anime shows i have eva watched and it wasnt even dragged out too long!! it was only like 51 episodes and barely had any fillers...........
and the movie finishes off the whole series by showin wat happens after the show ended

Yes, it does describe how it ended, but it left us hanging on a few important matters:
1. Can the brothers return home?
2. Will Edward ever be united with Winry?
3. What the heck is our world doing on the other side of the gate?
4. What is the purpose of the little black people, and arms?
5. If the whole point of this manga was to tie the loose ends, then why does it seem like there are alot of unanswered questions?

Not to mention the details concerning the other characters' lives. I would have been hapier if they all died like in Neon Genesis Evangelion....

Wow Stupidity much be bliss if you actually think that 52 episodes is being dragged along id hate to see what anime you watch maybe 5 episodes satisfies you people that acually belive 52 episodes is alot...sad...so sad
