Just as the title states.

Do you prefer to read the action yourself? The love scenes..the drama? Quietly, in your happy place, picture all of it perfectly in your head? The voices..everything? Or do you prefer lovely anime, with beautifully dubbed voices, action noises, actual moving scenes..? What do you guys think?

Admins, I couldn't find a thread with this material, so I made it. Forgive me if there's something already similar to or exactly like this.

I prefer Manga. Im a reader and I love a story much better than watching a tv show. Especially anime that is originally in Japanese because I never feel like the american voice actors match the character.

I do prefer manga over anime, but that is only because I sometimes hate the voices the americans give the characters. The only anime I'm satisfied with is Wolf's Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist, Rurouni Kenshin, and Inuyasha. All the others, manga is way better. I also love to just lock myself in my room and read the manga's. Imagining what the character's sound like is much better than listening to that annoying voice on television, which kills the mood.

I prefer anime i like to see the action of the character on the screan and hear the voices(Japanese of course) ,noises,and the moving scenes then trying to imagine it in my head but i do like manga i like to read it when im bored and their is nothing else to do.

I understand why you feel that way. It's better for the action and voices to already be there in front of you, instead of having to imagine the scene and how the characters sound yourself. lol, lazy-bum. jk ;]

Lets see I guess I usually prefer the manga over the anime. The manga leaves it up to your brain to put in the character's voices, etc. so the experience is however you want it to be...

The anime is still great though. Always a different direction into the story after a certain point.

Yes, true true Mr. Shinku, sir! Anime does turn out a little differently than the manga, which may sometimes be a good thing (but sometimes bad as well).

Yeah, I usually prefer the original manga's storyline over the anime's. Especially in Full Metal Alchemist and Sadamitsu the Destroyer - Hakaima Sadamitsu(I dont know if the manga was released in the US and the anime wasnt that good so...)

I loved the original story for FMA and IF anyone has had the chance to read AND watch Sadamitsu the Destroyer you KNOW what I mean. XD

...I'll try and post some info on Sadamitsu later if anyone is interested.

What is the difference between the manga and anime for FMA? I love that anime with all my heart ^ ^;;

I like them both. I like anime because of the action. You get to see the fight sences. I like watching anime and getting an idea of how the characters act and move, and their facial expressions. So, then when or if I read the manga its easier to picture how the characters react.
