Any negima manga readers out there??
yo all.. a question!!
i'm reading the original english version and am at vol 18 now...
(not the alternate storyline version)
i checked wikipedia and they showed information of the arcs until chapter 201...
but vol 18 only has until chapters 168...
and the shops in my country only has up to vol 18...
so am i really behind the current chapter or has vol 19 and onwards yet to be released??
Re: Any negima manga readers out there??
Yes:worship:I saw the anime and enjoyed it and I am now reading the manga. I am up to volume 6 however my son has read all way up to volume 18. All I can tell you is that acording to DELRAY ONLINE volume 19 is due out Setember 2008. I love the manga if you like the manga you might want to check out the anime. Not as good as the manga but enjoyable. Hope this helps.:D:
Re: Any negima manga readers out there??
I only watched the anime series. Seeing as how there is soooo many volumes to go along with the short anime series I probably need to read the manga. I really would like to get into Ken Akamatsu's work again.
Anyway, I think ron is correct. Negima vol. 19 has not been released yet. You probably need to wait a while on that.
Re: Any negima manga readers out there??
I've seen the original anime series, as well as Negima Neo (the 2nd version on youtube, also known as Mahora Negima). I've been reading the manga for two years now, and Negima has skyrocketed to my favorite anime EVER!!!! I just read chapters 219 and 220 online and Negi is just AMAZING!!!!!!! He even might be as powerful as Evangeline now. He's like a dark version of a Dragonball Z super saiyan.
In fact, when I'm allowed to upload my own avatar, I plan to make mine Fate Averruncus. He's is all in all my favorite anime antagonist.
Re: Any negima manga readers out there??
i watch the episodes on TV, but i have seen the Negima manga and i read just a few, but it is pretty good, i still have the website.
But i like to watch it more than i like to read the manga.
And i also love the manga how strong Negi is.
Re: Any negima manga readers out there??
hehe i dun really like negi that much... but i like evangeline... my fav character.. soo it'll be out on september huh... ok then guess have to wait...
i watched the anime but i think this time i prefer the manga series...they're better drawn in the book than in the anime.. (eg. asuna)

True, although the manga doesn't depict Asuna's different colored eyes. The manga also gives translations of the spells everyone uses. Not always accurate or complete, but good for learning Latin and Ancient Greek from.
Re: Any negima manga readers out there??
Stay away from the anime. Stay away from it, for the love of Christ. It suffers badly from Akamatsu's anime curse, which is to say that any manga he creates is awesome but the animes that result from it are trash. For examples, see Love Hina and all 3 or 4 of the Negima animes.
The Negima manga is Akamatsu's best work to date. Being able to juggle roughly 40 unique characters in the same ongoing story is no small feat. The reason why you only see up to chapter 18 is that Del Rey is behind the Japanese publishers. They're about a year behind the ongoing Japanese serials. The reason why there is information on the later chapters online is because there are fan translators that scan fresh volumes from Japan and translate them ahead of the US releases.
