AoD i have come up with a manga tell me what you think of the premise
Thanatos a young man who was caught in the middle of an otherworldly battle by mistake during the battle the angel of death is mortally wounded and transfers a portion of his soul and memories into thanatos. upon waking up Thanatos finds himself in a room with white walls a man comes in and informs him he has been "recruited" into a special unit for supernatural combat called AoD. He is paired with a young man who has fused spirits with a Fenrir ( basically a cerberus with only two heads one controls ice the other fire) all of the members have been fused with creatures in this manner adn are trained to combat many mythological creatures in groups of two with high tech versions of their spirits weapon
thats as far as i've gotten so far if their are any ideas out there let me know on this thread and i will see if i can incoporate them into the story

Would Thanatos get an animal as well? I think he shouldn't get one - it would boarder on a Mary Sue, what with the Angel of Death powers and all. And is he dead? Or is he Death? And can Death die?
Why do they fight these mythological creatures?

he is not death presay yet so he can die but they fight dangerous demon and such not beneficial
