Does anyone know how many TOTAL volumes there are to the manga, I know they're to 15 as far as US goes, but I saw some where there's supposed to be 23 volumes total. Does anyone know if this is correct or not?

Berserk is incomplete. New volumes are still being made.
There are currently 31 volumes.

iv only seen the first ep i really like it, so there 31 volumes cool i cant wait to see the rest.

O.k. Hassun, that really hurts... I was eagerly anticipating the release of a continuation...

Anywho, I just found out animecastle has a great selection of manga so you can pretty much guess where some of my income taxes are going...

Alas, I know, but a man can still dream can't he? But then again, the ending of the anime did convince me to start reading the manga, just to know what the hell happened

This is true, but one of the reasons they make anime into a D.V.D. format is to bring another experience to coexist with the manga. Well that leaves me with two options... I can either get over it and move on with the manga (which still rocks). Or I can hope and pray that Hassun doesn't know what the heck he's talking about! I'm hoping for the 2nd option, but Hassun is pretty knowledgeable about anime so I guess I better give animecastle.com a visit and buy some more manga...

I'm afraid he knows exactly what he is talking about. The original anime was supposed to be 30 episodes but it is rumored that the company that made Berserk ran out of funding before they could complete it. Unless they go back and finish the final five episodes which I highly doubt, your out of luck. I hear that the manga is as good if not better than the show though.

Of course, I agree completely. The manga (for 99.9%) of all anime's are better the the D.V.D's. I'm just having a hard time letting it go I guess... I'm still praying for the company to acquire funding to complete the anime though. *sighs* What can I say, I enjoyed the boxed set (first 25eps) just as much as the anime and I didn't want to let the experience go.

I can relate although I have yet to finish watching them in their entirey. In fact I just got the box set last week. It is probably my favorite if not one of my favorite anime's of all time. Some times it sucks to finish watching an anime because you know that it is done and that it will never continue. So what do you do? Simple buy more anime to fill the gap.
