ok ive seen the series...but is the manga better or can i just start reading it from where the series left off?

The anime is fairly loyal to the manga, but quite a few details and relationships are missing.

The manga is better on all counts, you should really read it: though you won't miss too much by skipping straight to where the anime leaves off.

I think you miss alot if you just pick up where the anime leaves off, theres quite a few fights and side characters that you miss out on. However If memory serves the anime leaves off around chapter 90~

Is the anime more violent than the manga? I haven't seen the anime yet but I'm reading the manga. Just wondering if the violence, nudity and all that are just the same.
