With children fighting the same angst over and over again it DOES get repetitive. If I hear one more high school freshman rattle on about her "OMG, hottie boyfriend" I'm going to stab her with a spork.

Actually, GTO: the Early Days existed before the GTO we know today. It was in fact around for quite awhile. However, the regular GTO is still the better series

I used to own the entire series at before I sold them. That was my first full collection of manga. I simply love this series. The anime was hilarious and the live action version wasn't bad. Overall I loved it.

I'm too nice to be Onizuka . . . I used to be a know-it-all little punk (like Kikuchi) but have slowly devolved into a well-meaning, constantly smiling, ALL-FORGIVING me. What happened? Ugh . . . I need the fire of Onizuka!

I vow: the next time THAT student falls asleep in class, I will slam the nearest book (unless it's The Bible) as close to his head as I can manage.

No, that's too harsh . . . I'll start writing notes on his face. That's it! I used to do that to my roommate all the time! YES! TEACHER'S REVENGE!

I love GTO! It would really be cool to have a teacher like Onizuka, minus the extortion of all sorts, of course.

I've read the prequel to GTO that tells the story of Onizuka as a student. It's pretty funny.

Onizuka as a student = my worst nightmare. No, seriously . . . I've taught punks before and we developed a rapport . . . but it was so scary . . .

I don't think you'd have a problem with an "Onizuka-type" student, as he would probably be skipping classes anyway XD
