Ok there is two versions of Hana Kimi
A japanese Show

but i prefer the Japanese one better.

I was under the impression that this thread was about two different versions of the Hana Kimi manga lol. You should've added "live action series" in the title of this thread to avoid confusion.
I preferred the Taiwanese live action over the Japanese one, hands down. The Taiwanese leads were a lot stronger and gave very convincing performances as opposed to the Japanese leads, which were quite sloppy and weak. Ella Chen did an excellent job as the female lead of the Taiwanese version, whereas Maki Horikita in the Japanese lead did quite poorly. As for the other two male leads, Wu Chun and Jiro Wang also gave promising performances in the Taiwanese series, but I can't say the same for the Japanese male leads. Although I'm a fan of Shun Oguri (from Hana Yori Dango), he really let me down in his Hana Kimi performance as Izumi Sano. Toma Ikuta as Shuichi Nakatsu did well though.
I also felt that the Japanese series was illogical in terms of its character interrelationships. One minute, Sano despises Mizuki, then the next, he's seemingly in love with her. There was a severe lack of chemistry between the two, which was a shame. As for their Taiwanese counterparts, it was the exact opposite. There was a beautiful chemistry between Rui Xi and Quan throughout the entire series.
The only major flaw in the Taiwanese series is the ending. It was rushed and unexpected, and strayed far from the manga ending. I believe the reason was because Ella, the lead female as Rui Xi, had to leave on a tour for her band, S.H.E (of which she's a member), so they cut out the original ending and substituted it for a sloppy one.
There is no anime for Hana Kimi, but two live action drama series based off the manga.
I like the Japanese more because I preferred that story-line more and I also liked the actors in the Japanese one more. This may also be due to the fact that I watched the Japanese one first but looking back on it I would still pick the Japanese one as the one I like the most over the Taiwanese.
Yeah Actually Ikuta Toma is one of my favourite actors
other than Kenichi Matsuyamu (is that the right spelling?)
Who plays L in death note and Shin in NANA
Why Hello Dar - I am Boo.
