    I am lost and could use your help

    I would like to start reading the Neon Genesis Evangelion manga. The originals and not the spin offs. Problem is I am not sure where I left off and what is worse, I don't know what number they are up to now. If some of you NGE hardcore fans could tell me where the series is at I would be most thankful.

    The last thing I remember clearly is that they went up against the angel that was a band of light. That is what I remember? What volume is that and what volume is the series currently on? Thank you!

    Does the angel appear as a large glowing floating torus. If that is the angel then you are on volume 9 or 10 I think.

    Thank you for narrowing that down. Hopefully I can get on the web and preview tham to make sure which is which and not pay for a manga volume twice.
