Thread: Lucky Star manga?

According to AnimeNFO, Lucky Star's manga currently has no English Distribution.

And I bet if you're industrious enough to google search, I bet you could find a scanlation.

And so I did and only found chap.1~16 of the first volume . . . and there's 7 volumes out already(If remembered correctly

I didn't know they have a manga on Lucky Star, how is it? And what is so different between anime or manga?

Well, manga is in book form, and anime is in visual media.
Manga, often times, have story lines and/or sections on which the anime did not touch. (or visa versa) Manga can also feel differently when read. Anime adds movement and sound, so it needs to add "fluff" which makes 1/2 hour or so seem longer than what may be in the book.
One manga book may be cut into 2-4 different anime episodes depending, so it is different.

On the side of Lucky Star, I didn't know it was a manga. I usually check out manga before I decide to purchase anime, so that is very interesting.
I hope they would release it sooner than later though.

Havent seen anything official on the manga yet. But seeing how the anime is now licensed and scheduled for release in '08 it is probable that it will be released. On a side note I knew some sites with scans but during the last month or so all scans have been removed from all of them. One site stated that it was removed due to a request, didnt say by whom but seeing how all the sites took it down at the same time than its quite possible that the licensing of the manga is in the process. Just my guess...or rather my wish.

But isn't Lucky Star already have being scheduled and out already. :P

I guess "lucky star" has no Manga English Distribution coz is a very ODD and nonsense stroy to cativaded the fans just coz there is no strory really! LOOOOL well I like the anime but im not pretty sure if i would like the Manga, coz sometimes i lose myself watchin the anime I dont want to know how read the Manga is going to be! But im pretty sure they will translate.
