Personally I don't care about the cost. It's sort of like my drawing materials... If I really want it, I don't mind spending whatever amount on it. Plus most books I buy are in the same range as most manga around where I live.
Wow! now I see why manga was so expensive there! Btw, although the mangas there are cheap (and most of them are translated in chinese, yay!), but some thitles are harder to find here and most of them will be late about 2 weeks coz of shipment and stuff. . . Cheap and slow manga? Or fast and expensive manga?
Omg, you should say you know its overpriced, it's like $4 ~ 7 = RM 11.6 ~ 17.2 ! ! ! If you think they're too pricey but you still wanna read them, why don't go to those rental book stores? It cost me RM 0.50 to read 1 vol. of any manga available at the store (reading at the store), and RM 1 to rent for a week (with RM 6deposit each book ). . . It would be better that way and if you wanns buy them you can wait till it's finished publishing and buy the whole set and that would be cheaper.

Come dance in the rain with me, no one is watching.
I never knowed there was stores where you could rent mangas??o.O.I heard of them but thought it was just japan and Cali.I mustly buy my in the store or order them to be ship to a store and pay them since is a little riskly to order online sometimes.
Perfection is dull
In Japan you have "Manga Kissa" which means "Manga Coffeeshop". Kissa is actually short for kissaten, meaning coffee shop.
At a MangaKissa, you pay by the hour and there are walls and walls of manga lined up and computers decked out with the latest video games. Reasonably cheap at about US$4 / hour.

I usually download translated manga from mangasubbers to save some money. It is faster and you save a lot of money, but sometimes the quality is crappy so i rather buy them from a book store.
