4.01 M33-2 | Re: Whats the difference between Mangas and Doujins Well what you looked at might not really be a doujin. All the ones I know of are pretty much hentai. I think its like this manga is to anime like doujin is to hentai. But I might be wrong about this. I couldn't find it on Wikipedia though.

![]() ![]() Credits: 46,505 | Re: Whats the difference between Mangas and Doujins Grumble Grumble Grumble The general definition of doujinshi is Manga that is not professionally published. This includes both amateur drawn Manga works, as well as professionally drawn Manga that are self published and not sold through a commercial distributor... As an example, the famous Manga artist team known as CLAMP first got their start as a high school doujinshi circle, drawing hentai publications. For further information, you should watch the anime series known as 'Comic Party', as the story of the original series is about the main character entering the amateur doujinshi circuit...

Upcoming Legend | Re: Whats the difference between Mangas and Doujins I don't know why most of em are hentai/yuri/yaoi but I guess the most of the population of the otaku market in Japan are male. Also a lot of em are fan made doujin, using sex as the sell point in the huge male otaku market. That is just my guess using the logic for business and profit. It could just be "I like sex/these characters in the anime so im gonna make ___ and ___ doing it." Anime News Network - Doujinshi |

![]() ![]() Credits: 12,658 | Re: Whats the difference between Mangas and Doujins Manga are totally original works while doujinshii is fan works. They are NOT all hentai though some are rated for kids. You can get mainstream manga thats hentai just like you can get hentai doujinshii. Doujinshii is harder to get though... |

![]() ![]() Credits: 1,361 | Re: Whats the difference between Mangas and Doujins Mmm, let me see. . .One difference is the doujinshi in several times are made for fans of one or more series. Example: the hentai doujinshi of CCS. Was made for fans, not for CLAMP girls. Other reasons are explained uppon this thread. One more, the manga are original of Japan. The Doujinshi are made in other countrys too (Spain, France, Chile etc). |

The Antagonist | Re: Whats the difference between Mangas and Doujins Len is right (as usual)! Doujins are usually short mangas that are not professionally published. They are most often fan-works and can be pornographic, but it is also common for simple fan books to be made. An artist circle may want to make a doujin/art book dedicated to a certain character. Mangas, on the other hand, are published works with an original story and set of characters. Anything you buy in your bookstore is fully licensed manga, not doujins. |

![]() ![]() Credits: 7,474 | Re: Whats the difference between Mangas and Doujins A manga is perfessionally published as len stated. Its easy to find doujins in japan as all the unsigned artists... In Fact not to long ago Full Metal Alchemist was a doujin, if anyone didn't know that lol.
