something will alway come along to fill the masses with hope, or something like that. i mean before naruto and bleech there was inu yasha, and full metal alchmest for a short while. and really, before that even was rurouni kenshi and the infamous DBZ. theres always gonna be something...always...

Bleach and Naruto will end eventually.But for such manga that is able to continue after 5 to 10 years,you have to admit that it is amazing.

I agree with some of the comments, where there will always be massive anime/manga series that jump out and grab an audience. Most of my friends have been lured into the anime/manga realm because of those series and have gotten into deeper and more Japanese versions of things. Some even get into anime/manga that isn't released yet.
In the past, some might have been Card Captor Sakura, Sailor Moon, and Case Closed.
In the future, the bigger series will probably have "the qualities" that most of the bigger ones have right now.
Some of the qualities that you can look forward to are:
-Powering up to extreme levels, only to find out that its not so extreme, and you can even power up further.
-Have a character(s) that look either cool or hot.
-Have inane senseless fighting around every corner.
-Lastly, it has a basic idea, but is just darn awesome.
First there was DBZ then there was Naruto then there was Bleach, next there will be something will samurai that is just as infectiously popular. I mean we've covered veritably every other cultural Japanese warrior class: monks, ninja, death gods. Look at it logically, Samurai are the only class of Japanese warriors that haven't been terribly exploited my anime for obscenely long series.
