Has anyone read Osamu Tezuka's Buddha manga? It deals with Buddhism, naturally, since its a semi-historical/biographical look at the life of Siddhartha Gautama (the first Buddha) with some of Tezuka's trademark charm, characters, and humor thrown in. Its a wonderful story (Vertical Inc. released 8 hardcover volumes in English, and they are currently printing paperbacks as well) and I'd urge anyone interested in religious manga to pick it up. The whole story together is about 3,200 pages give or take, so its chock full of religious elements and ideas.
