Dragon Ball

Ouran High School Host Club is a Japanese fiction series by Bisco Hatori, a Japanese author, which revolves around a group of high school friends of the same club, namely the Host Club. The series was first started on 5th August, 2003 as a manga in LaLa magazine.

Plot

The story of Ouran High School Host Club takes place basically at Ouran High School, which most of the characters of the school attend. One day, a scholarship student named Haruhi Fujioka was looking for a quiet serene place to study, wherein she comes upon the Music Room. There she stumbles upon a group of 6 good-looking male students. When these boys first meet Haruhi, they try to charm and attract her and this shocks her. This causes her to accidentally knock over a very expensive vase which had a value of US$80,000. Since she does not have the money to return the debt, she is forced to return the debt by working as a host.

In the story there are 7 leading characters who are the members of the Host club, namely:

Tamaki Suou, who is the president of the club
Kyoya Ootori, who is the vice-president of the club
The Hitachiin brothers namely Hikaru and Kaoru
Morinozuka, who is always found with another member
Hunny
Haruhi Fujioka

The other characters include schoolmates such as Renge Houshakuji; Ritsu Kasanoda, who likes Haruhi; and Umehito Nekozawa, who is the president of the neighbouring Dark Magic Club.

There are also Haruhi’s parents, - her father, Ryoji "Ranka" Fujioka and her mother Kotoko Fujioka who passed away when Haruhi was a child and is shown only in flashback scenes. Finally, there is also an anime-only character named Éclair Tonnere.

Host Club

Tamaki had brought up the idea of the Ouran High School Host Club. In this club, handsome wealthy teenage boys can entertain girls that have as equal wealth, time and beauty as that of the boys.

Dark Magic Club

The Dark Magic Club at the Ouran High School has the leadership of Umehito Nekozawa, a student of the school. The club members spend a major part of their time in a lowly-lit room on objects that would be something as a form of dark magic.

Zuka Club

The Zuka Club is known as a cultural club and its membership is mainly open to women. The club has a great variety of activities, like tea ceremonies as well as discussion groups, however its important function is that of theatric performance.

Newspaper Club

The Newspaper Club at Ouran involves just 3 members: Akira Komatsuzawa, Chikage Ukyo and Tomochika Sakyo. Their newspaper mostly includes articles relating to romance gossip on campus or that of power struggles amongst families that are causing divisions in the classes.

American Football Club

The American Football Club includes three members: Takeshi Kuze, Makoto Togoin and Hayato Tarumi. Takeshi Kuze, the captain of the club controls the biggest domestic share of fruit as well as vegetable imports. Hence the members are most of the time eating fruit.
