Who the %#)&* said that the second season was "bad"!!!? But as for the matter that you finally watched it subbed rather than dubbed, well good for you. Its about time. LOLs. As for Lelouch's "death"...yeah, I guess it was one hell of a way to go. Personally I wished that he didnt have to go down right in front of Nunnally. I was afraid that she'd really go blind from the shock this time.
...you and your "suggestive" avy Legend.
But seriously the 2nd season had quite a few shockers...ep. 6, 13, 21, and 22 were the ones that I felt that contributed the most.
I did like the end though, every one went in their own ways. But I wonder how the hell a guy like Ougi managed to become the new Prime Minister of Japan? He was barely able to lead a rebel group that was barely made up of a dozen people...and what of Toudou x Chiba? They ever get hitched? I LOL'd when I saw what Jeremiah was doing afterwards though...til the end he lived up to his name, "Orange".
Some also claim that Lelouch didnt die and instead that he took C.C.'s "code" and became immortal...which I can say is fairly realistic as I dont think that he'd have died without fulfilling his "contract" with her. Great way of continuing the series into an OVA, if not than it is a great idea for a fanfic/doujinshi.
I for one believe that Lelouch didn't die, he's not the type of guy to die in the first place, even with a sword sticking out of his gut, he will find a way to survive. I think the only time he didn't care was earlier in the season when Nunnaly was bringing back the act that Euphie was going to do, but died doing. I forget what it was called.
Plus the way that C.C. looked and said Lelouch is almost a sealer for me that he lives.
EDIT: Btw, leave my avy alone :P Just one more for old times sake.
They could always attempt to make this into anime:
Baka-Updates Manga - Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally
i say hats off to C.G for nearly killing off the entire cast of teenagers waging war on the world. some neat stuff.
I personally prefer him to be dead. who knows, CC could've been talking to the sky and the driver is just some no faced npc ( game lingo= non-playable character :P) plus it would piss a lot of people if he survived "again with the damn mind games??". having said that maybe he had that maid or someone under geass!?!?!(den den den!!) to pose as him again (but that wouldnt explain the montage of his memories, unless again having used geass to implant or just some plain old hollywood special effects like fake sword :O.
anyhow, i personally liked this whole series as a bittersweet pleasure.
1 - i didn't like all the deaths of good characters and such, BUT that did provide some major plot movement and great mood which is a plus.
2-The escape artist, Lelouche always with some insane geass chain reaction that would be impossible given the odds (like what are the odds that Cornielia's knight would look at lelouche when he needed him to in the limo., still plausible but again the odds are somehow a godsend for him).
3. Though lelouche had valid reasons why he did things like kill euphie, which could have been easily avoided later by blaming his geass getting stronger. He used it in his little masterplan to have everyone hate him.(Gundam 00 theme??! wth)
For those reasons, Code Geass was one hell of a ride despite how ridiculously improbable, it's still a good watch because its one of few anime's willing to go against the grain and shell out something new for a change.(much like Gurren Legann..lol who kills the main character half way through and at such a lame arc.)
9.5/10, I can say i hate this anime or love it. its that great/idiotic.
(jeez just when i get into a thread i actually have an interest, almost instantly it dies.. this is why i never post!)
AHHH LELUCUCHE (sp?) DIES! But I kinda saw it comming, it was a weird ending and I think it was a bit ok.
