I haven't read exactly what the author had to say about his death, but if he just said that Lelouch died then that doesn't mean he isn't alive. The link in the post above this one says it well enough, you have to die to activate the code.

Because if he was alive then the symbol of the world's hate is still lingering around. Eventually people will realize who he is and the hatred would return.

As for the code thing, WHO SAID THAT YOU NEED TO DIE TO ACTIVATE THE CODE!!!!!! I don't remember it being said anywhere. It's only speculation.

as i said before lelouch is confrimed to be dead, by one of the writers and he is listed as deceased in the offical r2 guide book. but that doesn't they won't revieve him or something. there are many animes that revive their dead characters. or they could make an alternate ending like you said. but as of now lelouch is DEAD.

now as that being the end of code geass. i don't think so. just because lelouch is dead doesn't mean the series is over. sunrise has indicated that there might be more code geass in the years to come. there are still many unanswered questions.

Your right on that Kaki.....once I believed that LElouch is alive but now I supprot that Lelouch is DEAD!....

i don't care about if he is alive or not anymore realy (though it would be good if he was brught back to life) all i hope for is more code geass :) well i gess we will have to wait and see

The ending was so sad...I cried alot...i couldnt go to bed that night..

I agree it's just a show but this feud about if hes alive or dead is getting old lets just talk about future episode IF they have any:smile:
