I know the type of endings you're talking about. Did you ever see FLCL? That was a pretty open ending. If you saw it, what did you think?Originally Posted by The Fighter

I'd have to say happy endings are good but so are sad ones. I guess as long as they have closure I'm satisfied. FMA left something to be desired. I loved the ending but then again it just left me with this odd emptiness. Chrono Crusade is an other one. Yes most of the characters died at the end and the fact that Aion still survived ticked me off I forced myself to think. I thought what if it had had a good happy ending. Would I still be thinking about it now? Yes I probably would've liked it better had Chrono and Rosette and Setella and her sister had a happily ever after but I don't think I would still be replaying that last episode over and over again. I think the same goes with FMA and I also think that although Fruits Basket didn't exactly finish the story it left off at the best possible place. I mean could you really imagion what would've happened had Tohru picked Kyo over Yuki or vice versa? Who ever she didn't pick would be heart broken and it would've ruined any hopes of keeping the feel (emotional environment) that the anime had had up to that point. I guess to answer the posed question I like both as long as it kinda of gives you a sense of security. That's not to say that I don't cry when the endings are really sad or really happy for that matter.
Darkness is often misunderstood because simple minded fools like you don't realize that without Darkness there can be no true light. Without war how would we know what peace is like? Without hate love wouldn't feel as special... So think twice before you judge those like me... Those who are not afraid to embrace Darkness for what it is despite what others will say or think of them. ~Lupa

ive always loved happy endings, sad endings usually end with the main character dieing or his girlfriend dieing. that usually sucks
I really like both kinds of endings...as Cowboy Bebop of course would have been majorly different had Spike not died....or that Kenshin finds peace. However the endings just make you think the what if....I mean if we're talking about it. When there is an ending you hate or love...you will always talk about it. An ending that I didn't care for was Neon Genesis Evangelion...hopefully others agree that the ending of the series and movie...left a lot to question.
In every world, the God’s always make the rules. You will fall before my fake rules, and for the sin of going against the new world’s God, die.
Happy Endings or Sad Endings, hmmm, I prefer both. I don't really care as long as the anime's ending is good! heheh
Smileys + Me =![]()
i don't know of you would call it happy
or sad but i like the ending where the bad guy
win's but he looses also. you know the bad guy win's the all
powerful what ever and the hero die's but the all powerfull
thing was to much for him and the bad guy die's ,not from a heroic
act but by stupidity or something you know? ending's like that
make me happy
