SOTW Jan 21 - 27 (Hayashibara Megumi)

Wow... this was the smallest turnout ever for SOTW. Must be folks getting back into the swing of work and school OR maybe the theme was too hard.

Anyway, makes our jobs of voting easier.

My vote went to Eqquin, this is becauase she did a creative job of putting both real and animated?(I think) images of her into it. Nicely done with all the sigs keep it up.

man been a while since i've shown my face here. anyway...

there was 2 entries that really stood out for me. there was Soshi that had very nice soft lighting to it, giving me a calm and soft feeling which worked well with the composure of the picture. i also liked how he put some nice and what i believe to be cherry blossoms in the back ground. but the text kinda ruined it for me, it just seems to stick out and disrupt the feeling in the sig.

so my vote ended up with Equinn. for the fact of her layout and contrasting the real person and the 'animated' version as well. also her blending, choice of colours and layout of text seem to all come together, especially how she was able to break the text away but still keep it with the sig. i found that very interesting.

megumi is not an attractive woman... and the dearth of late 80s photos of her only compound the problem >_<; fooligar makes her look mildly interesting and vaguely modern. That's no easy feat.

Thats kinda mean, but i understand what you mean. I choose Soshi Kitai because it made her look quite lovely. The design was fairly nice and it was overall a nice pic of her.

I'd have to give my vote to fooligar for, as tsu said, making her look very interesting - and somewhat good looking as well.

Hmmm...perhaps I should've gone with a different theme? But then again I did offer a chance to change it. To add, I didnt limit it to the use of actual pics of Hayashibara-san. I clearly stated that ANY of the characters that she's done can be used. *goes to check* Ah, see:

I think the theme indeed was too hard. just because little people knew who she is and I know I like to know who I'm putting on my signature, especialy if it's a life person ^^ but it's not bad to change the theme a little bit

Well I voted for fooligar, his signature is different from the others and it simply looks good... nice work!!! ^^

This is too hard to vote at.. o.O all looks almost with the same quality... i bet it's because of the real life pic being used... i like it better if anime character is in there.. but oh well i'll vote i guess

I dont like the pic choosed by equinn and zyta.. made her look uglier..

she looks better in the other 2.. but i love the effect made by fooligar.. made her look scary...

but i like dreamy effect better so i voted for Soshi...
